Somerset Lodge South is one of a pair of delightful archway lodges at the boundary of Cholmondeley Park and the Castle gardens, just 200 yards or so from the Castle itself. It’s a wonderfully peaceful location with idyllic views across the magnificent parkland and “Chapel Mere”.
It lies in rolling Cheshire countryside, perfectly situated for exploring the county, North Wales and neighbouring Shropshire. Nearby Chester is home to a cathedral, a zoo, a racecourse, a variety of museums and Tudor and other historic buildings. Somerset Lodge is within walking distance, being about one mile, from the extremely popular and acclaimed Cholmondeley Arms which offers excellent food and hospitality. Guests staying at Somerset Lodge South will receive complimentary tickets to the Castle Gardens (April – September).

The Lodge provides uniquely charming accommodation for up to four people. The entrance is through a small fenced garden to a well equipped kitchen and dining area. Full bathroom. Sitting room with open fire, stairs to one double bedroom (with washbasin) and one small twin bedroom.
