The Big Day Draws Near
With just under 7 weeks to go until the gardens team start the build of our garden at RHS Chelsea, plans are coming together.
The materials are gathered. The ironwork is finished. The plants are looking good. All in all things are starting to get exciting as we approach the big day at Chelsea 2016. The opportunity for a Northern garden like ourselves to exhibit on the world stage is a rare thing indeed, and we can't wait to show the gardening world our famous Temple Garden at Chelsea.
With everything else in place we just need the plants (and weather) to do their part. Our Head Gardener has put together a fantastic plant list, with many plants rarely seen at Chelsea that will help us to create a display with real impact. And so a few weeks ago started the process of plant conditioning, with moving between different tempertaure ranges and shade to sun, and of course the right feeding regime. A hectic few weeks are sure to follow, but its all part of the excitiement!
Omphalodes cappadocica 'Cherry Ingram', a great spring plant and one of our Chelsea selection.
