Cholmondeley Castle Triathlon
The second leg of the 2019 Castle Triathlon Series will take place at Cholmondeley Castle on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd June. The 2018 event attracted over 1500 competitors to the beautiful countryside of Cheshire. All races at the 200 year old Cholmondeley Castle start by launching into an open-water swim in the Deer Park Mere, transitioning into a bike route which circumnavigates Bickerton Hill which is the southern most tip of the Peckforton Hills. There will be one cycle lap for the Super Sprint and two laps for both the Sprint Plus and Olympic distances. The run passes through the Estate grounds, which date back to the 12th Century, and Triathletes will finish their Cholmondeley race experience by sprinting down the main lawn to the finish line with Cholmondeley Castle as a fitting backdrop.
Please note Cholmondeley Castle Gardens will be closed to the general public on these days.
